Coronavirus in Telangana on Tuesday reported 2892 coronavirus positive cases and 10 deaths due to the deadly virus. The overall positive cases stood at 1,30,589 while the deaths at 846.

Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday reported 10,368 coronavirus positive cases and 84 deaths due to the deadly virus. The overall positive cases stood at 4,45,139 including 1,01,210 active cases, 3,39,876 recovered cases and 4,053 deaths.

Coronavirus in India on Monday reported 78,357 coronavirus positive cases and 1045 deaths due to the deadly virus. The overall positive cases stood at 37,69,524 including 8,01,282 active cases, 29,019,09 cured/discharged/migrated & 66,333 deaths

    MPDOs Thank Jagan for Creating DDO Posts

    Amaravati: The MPDOs have thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for creating Divisional Development Officer posts. The Cabinet has approved the proposal to create DDO posts and promote the MPDOs, in its meeting on Thursday.

    On this occasion, the MPDOs Association President Y Brahmaiah and General Secretary GV Narayana Reddy stated that they did not get promotions from the last 25 years. Now, with the creation of the DDO posts, they will get the chance for getting a promotion before retirement. The Association members met Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Government Advisor (Public) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and expressed their gratitude to the Government.

    Further, the employees along with AP Government Employees Federation President Kakarla Venkata Ramireddy performed Palabhishekam to the photo of Jagan Mohan Reddy at Secretariat at Velagapudi.

    Additional Eo Reviews On Development Works At Dharmagiri

    Tirumala: The improvement and repair works to be taken up at Veda Vignana Peetham are reviewed in the Vedagiri premises in Tirumala on Thursday. Speaking during the review meeting, the Additional EO Dharma Reddy said all facilities will be provided at the Peetham to ensure high standards of Vedic learning and teaching. "We will resolve all your problems but you should ensure the best environment to the pupils in Vedic learning", he told Vedic teachers.

    Ahead of the commencement of classes in a month he directed TTD officials to complete all pending works related to Veda Pathashala. He said strict vigilance has to be maintained against the entry of outsiders during the corona period. In view of its location in the deep forest belt, the TTD Forest and Garden department officials were instructed to take up necessary measures.

    He directed the Health officials to take steps to avoid stagnant waters and cleanup operations. He also said all other issues, if any like street lighting, water pumping, electrical wiring, civil repair works etc. should be taken up on a fast pace. The Additional EO said all the issues shall be brought to the notice of the Administrative Officer of Pathashala and DyEO Vijaya Saradhi for fast resolution.

    Second Trial Run Of Gita Parayana

    Tirumala: The second trial run of Gita Parayanam held at Nada Neerajana Mandapam at Tirumala on Thursday evening. Vedic Scholar Kuppa Vishwanatham presented a descriptive part while Veda Parayanmdar Sri Kasipathi rendered Bhagavat Gita Parayanam. Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy and many exponents from Vedic studies offered their suggestions to improve the Gita Parayanam which included maintaining uniform tempo and pitch while reciting shlokas so that even the common devotees who are watching the programme live on SVBC or who are taking part in the live programme at Tirumala.

    ISKCON representative Leela Parayanadas thanked TTD for floating this idea of Bhagavat Gita Parayanam during this crisis period for the wellbeing of humanity. The artists from SV College of Music and Dance presented Madhrastam after Parayanam.

    Two burnt alive

    Guntur: Two persons were burnt alive when a house caught fire due short circuit at Alluru village under PV Palem Mandal of Guntur district in the wee hours of Thursday.

    According police, deceased Kumar was working as a watchman at a shrimp pond and residing in a house on the outskirts of Alluru village. Due to power short circuit flames spread in the house as a result a gas cylinder exploded. Kumar and Anaparthamma who were sleeping in the house, could not come out. They were burnt alive.Fire officials rushed to spot and brought situation under control. Police registered the case and took up investigation.

    Two die in explosion in plywood factory

    Vijayawada: Two persons died on the spot and several others sustained burns in an explosion in a plywood factory at Surampalli industrial area on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.

    District of n-charge minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy expressed shock over the mishap and instructed the district administration to conduct enquiry into the mishap. He instructed the officials to provide good medical help to the injured. He assured the victims that the government would provide all help to them.
