‘Love You Ram’ movie review: Well made new-age love story
Story
Ram (Rohit Behal), runs a business chain called Srinivasa Hotels in Norway. Having suffered many setbacks in life and becoming a commercial man, Ram starts hunting for a wife-cum-employee to work for him without taking any salary in order to evade taxes. Saying that he will make a partner, he asks PC (Dasarath), who is the CEO of his business chain, to find a suitable girl for him. In this order five people are selected and among them his childhood friend Divya (Aparna Janardhanan) comes across. But not knowing that she is his childhood friend, Ram wants to use her for business purposes. As a child, Ram's words helped Divya. Ram's true nature is revealed when the wedding bell rings. And did Divya marry Ram? How does Ram react knowing that Divya is his childhood friend? In the end, they both became one or not is the main crux of the story.
Analysis
A girl likes someone since childhood because of his nature. If we know that such a person has become a different character in the course of time, what will be the condition of that girl? This is the story of 'Love You Ram'. This is a new age love story that this generation will get connected. Now almost most romances start on social media; exchanging mobile numbers through social media and then friendship, falling in love for years. Until then there is a lot of love between the two. But after marriage each negative layer comes out. Many new things will be learned. What is the situation of that love story at such a time? It is shown by this movie. This is a story that happens in many lives.
Director Dasharath turned the trending point into a story. But director Chaudhary hesitated a bit in showing it on screen. At the very beginning of the movie, they told how the character of the hero is going to be. Looking for a girl for marriage through online platform and giving rating.
The first half ends while watching the fun scenes between the two families. Interval twist adds interest to the second half. The second half is a bit routine. The hero tries to impress the heroine. Soon the heroine gets to know his true nature. She gets hurt but gives another chance. The story goes like this in a routine and imaginary way. It would have been better if the climax was a bit more interesting. But Dasharath's comedy in the role of PC and the scenes where the girl's father (Banerjee) beats up the boy's family for money are impressive. If you go without any expectations, this youthful love story entertains.
Performances
Rohit Behal has done justice to the role of Ram, who also sees marriage as commercial thing. Aparna Janardhanan as Divya, a young village girl, acted well. Director Dasharath appeared on screen for the first time. He played the role of PC. He created some humour. His punchy dialogues are laughable. Banerjee excels in his role as a stay-at-home husband who is addicted to gambling. Along with Pradeep, Kadambari Kiran, the rest of the actors acted within the scope of their roles.
Technicalities
Director DY Chaudhary executes the script given by Dasaradh well but somewhere gets distracted. Veda background music is good but the songs could have been much better. Cinematography by Sai Santhosh is good. Production values are good for this medium budget film.
