Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Movie Review & Rating {3/5}

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is one of the prestigious projects in the film industry now. Mega Star Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in the movie as Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Amitabh, Nayanathara, Tamannah, Brahmaji, Ravi Kishan, Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep, Vijay Setupathi and others played the key roles. The film is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan. Story:

The movie is set with 1840s backdrop. The film is the story of a Palegar, who revolted against the British for the first time in 1847. The story starts with Majjari Narasimha Reddy (Megastar Chiranjeevi) working as one of the 61 Independent Palegars who works in Rayalaseena. He works under the British system and pay taxes to them. The conflict starts when drought hits Rayalaseema and the Britishers still insist to pay taxes on land. How Narasimha Reddy unites other Palegars and some people and revolt against the Britishers? What happened then forms the crux of the story.

Performances:

Megastar Chiranjeevi's stellar performance can be considered as the backbone of the film. Chiru has undoubtedly worked really hard for this role in the movie and we can say that his passion for the film is evident in each and every scene. Chiru breathes life into the character of Narasimha Reddy. Sudeep also got an important role in this film and he has delivered his career-best performance in the movie. Vijay Sethupathi once again proved that he is one of the finest actors in the industry and the way he has essayed his role of Raja Pandi is truly mesmerizing. Jagapathi Babu's energetic performance also added more strength for the film. Nayanthara went under the skin of the character and delivered a promising performance. Tamannaah also got a crucial role in the film and she has nailed her performance. Niharika Konidela and Brahmaji also made their presence felt. Though Amitabh Bachchan got a small role, his screen presence definitely gave more mileage to the film.

Technical Aspects:

Director Surender Reddy has handled the script in a really interesting way. As it is a piece of history, Surender Reddy has handled with so much care and has narrated the script in an engaging way. We can say that the director has succeeded in his attempt to produce stunning output with the film and most of the credit of the film should definitely go to Surender Reddy for his brilliant taking. Needless to mention that the production values by Ram Charan under Konidela Productions banner is lavish. Sai Madhav Burra's dialogues also can be considered as the backbone of the film. He has penned some impactful dialogues which also helped the movie a lot. Music by Amit Trivedi is excellent. Also, Julius Packiam's mesmerizing background music score elevated each and every scene in the film. Especially, the background score during the war sequences is top-notch. Cinematography by R Rathnavelu is superb. The way he has showcased the pre-independence era deserves a Huge round of applause. Editing by A Sreekar Prasad is clean.

Verdict:

Mounted on an epic scale the movie has some breathtaking visuals, elaborate sets, life-like battle scenes, and colorful costumes. There is a lot more in the movie than just the war for freedom. There are so many wonderful scenes in the movie which will make the audience applaud. The movie is all about why Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy went against British rule and how he had formed a group and rampaged the British etc. There are some outstanding scenes in the film which will give goosebumps to the audience. Especially the one where the Britishers hang Narasimha Reddy will make the audience emotional. Also, the court scene is definitely amazing and the climax is handled really well. Overall, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is an epic story that cannot be forgotten.
