Vijay Deverakonda's Dear Comrade Movie Review & Rating

Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna acted together for the second time in the movie Dear Comrade. Bharat Kamma is the director who is making his debut as a director. Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas banner produced the movie jointly. Justin Prabakaran is the music director of the movie. Check out the review is the movie here.

Story:

Chaitanya aka Bobby (Vijay Deverakonda) is a short tempered student leader at Kakinada university. His anger management issues always bring him into troubles. Aparna Devi aka Lilly (Rashmika Mandanna) is a state level cricketer and Bobby's relative who comes back to town. Both Bobby and Lilly fall in love with each other. But, vexed with the aggressive nature of Bobby, Lilly goes into a confused state regarding her relationship. But, a major twist takes place here which affects both professional and personal life of Lilly. What is that twist? What happens between Bobby and Lilly? Forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Vijay Devarakonda is definitely the show stealer of this film. The actor has delivered an energetic and outstanding performance in this movie. Not only in the romantic scenes and action sequences, Vijay Devarakonda has a delivered a beautiful performance even in the emotional scenes as well. Rashmika Mandanna is truly an asset for this movie. The actress has pulled off her role well. Needless to mention that her sizzling hot chemistry with Vijay Devarakonda can be considered as one of the major attractions of this film. Shruti Ramachandran did convincingly well in her role. Sanjay Swarup has delivered a decent performance. The rest of the cast is decent.

Technical Aspects:

Director Bharat Kamma has prepared an engaging story for this film. The way he has narrated this script is excellent. He has not only prepared an interesting story line for the film but also narrated it in a simple and beautiful way. He has proved that his storytelling skills are outstanding and also the pace of his narration is constant throughout the film. Production values by Yash Rangineni under Mythri Movie Makers are very rich. Music by Justin Prabhakaran is definitely one of the major highlights of this film. He has not only scored some amazing tunes for the film but also given peppy and energetic BGM for the film. Cinematography by Sujith Sarang is beautiful. All his visuals are flawless. Sreejith Sarang's editing is clean and neat.

Verdict:

The movie has a solid story line which is easily relatable for the audiences. The first 20 minutes of the movie itself will definitely make the audience connect with the story of the film. The first half of the movie is filled with some light hearted comedy, stunning romantic scenes between the leads and some action sequences whereas the second half becomes a little bit serious and heavy with emotions. Especially the pre-climax and climax scenes of the film can be considered as the highlights of this film and are heartwarming. Vijay and Rashmika's chemistry, story line and music can be considered as the highlights of this film. There are some draggy scenes in the second half before the pre-climax which will be the minus points. Overall, 'Dear Comrade' is definitely a worth watching movie for all sections of the audience.
