Ganesh Immersion Shobhayatra begins with pomp
Adilabad: The Ganesh Nimajjana Sarvajanika Shobhayatra organized by Hindu Samaj Utsav Samiti, Edulapuram in Adilabad town began with great pomp and show of devotion from Sri Saraswati Shishu Mandir and Vinayak Chowk on Friday.
Member of Parliament Godam Nagesh, MLA Payal Shankar, Municipal Chairperson Bandari Anusha, District Collector Rajarshi Shah, SP Akhil Mahajan, Ward Councilor Akula Revathi and others lit the lamp and inaugurated the Shobhayatra.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Godam Nagesh said that Ganesh festivals are not just festivals but are a great cultural tradition that promotes unity, devotion and brotherhood in the society. He urged that the Ganesh festivals organized with devotion in the district should be completed with the same devotion with the immersion program. He suggested that traditional instruments should be given priority in the procession.
