Naidu to clear 2,915 acre long-pending land disputes in Prakasam

Amaravati/ Ongole: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will on Friday resolve long-pending ‘Garbha Kandrika’ land disputes covering 2,915 acres in eight villages of Prakasam district, paving the way for 1,301 farmers to receive pattadar passbooks.

Naidu will participate in the ‘Mee Bhumi-Mee Hakku’ programme at Narsingolu village in Jarugumalli mandal, where the disputed land records will be cleared and pattas distributed to eligible farmers.

The lands covered by the exercise are located in Ilavara and Vennuru villages of Kondapi mandal; Pachava, Vardinenipalem, Narsingolu and K Bitragunta of Jarugumalli mandal; Obannapalem of Naguluppalapadu mandal; and Kalikiwaya of Singarayakonda mandal.

The Chief Minister will interact with farmers before attending the public meeting at noon. The pattadar passbooks will be distributed at the Grama Sabha as part of the programme.

The Prakasam exercise is part of the government’s wider passbook distribution programme, under which Naidu has decided to issue 4.58 lakh pattadar passbooks during October.

Naidu will reach Narsingolu where he will also meet TDP cadre after the passbook distribution programme.
