No future for those who neglect party: Lokesh

Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party national working president and Minister for IT and HRD Nara Lokesh on Monday cautioned party leaders and elected representatives that there would be no future for anyone who neglected the party, stressing that every leader must remember that the organisation is supreme.

Addressing a two-day training workshop for TDP leaders at the party’s central office, NTR Bhavan, in Mangalagiri, Lokesh said party office-bearers must be treated with due respect, irrespective of whether others held positions as ministers or MLAs.

He directed leaders to accord top priority to every task assigned by the party. Recalling an instance from his own schedule, Lokesh said he had declined an invitation to an event related to Quantum Towers because he had been assigned an important responsibility by the party.

“The party’s work must always come first,” he told the participants, making it clear that responsibilities entrusted by the organisation should be completed with priority.

Lokesh also clarified that party office-bearers did not require anyone’s permission to participate in party programmes.

Underlining the importance of the organisation in the political journey of elected representatives, he pointed out that nobody could become an MLA or minister without the B-form issued by TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu.

The minister asked party leaders and cadre to continuously monitor the implementation of party programmes in their respective constituencies. He said complete details of such programmes were being updated on the My-TDP app and directed leaders to regularly review their performance and participation based on the information available on the platform.

The training sessions for TDP MLAs are being held on Monday and Tuesday, with the party leadership focusing on strengthening organisational discipline, improving coordination and ensuring greater involvement of elected representatives in party activities.
