Anantapur: District Collector O Anand ordered robust security measures during an inspection of EVM godowns near the old RDO office compound in Anantapur city on Tuesday.
Conducted as part of the Election Commission’s mandated quarterly checks, the visit involved reviewing storage security, surveillance, and entry logbooks.
Accompanied by DRO A Malola, election officials, and representatives from political parties including YSRCP, Congress, BJP, CPI(M), and Aam Aadmi Party, the Collector stressed the need for foolproof security to maintain the absolute safety and integrity of all stored electoral equipment across the district.
