Aishwarya, Saundarya conferred ‘Swara Lakshmi’ titles
Bengaluru: Carnatic vocalists Vidushi S. Aishwarya and Vidushi S. Saundarya were conferred the prestigious ‘Swara Lakshmi’ title instituted by the International Arts & Cultural Foundation to commemorate the musical legacy of Bharat Ratna M. S. Subbulakshmi.
The honour was conferred as part of the 110th birth anniversary celebrations of the legendary musician and presented in the presence of Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The title was presented by Ramanashree Group chairman S. Shadakshari, renowned scholar and Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee Dr Hampa Nagarajaiah, and International Arts & Cultural Foundation director Srivatsa Shandilya. Artist Kannika Parameshwar, wife of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, was also present at the event.
