Minor girl missing case: Accused arrested in Haryana

Guntur police rescued a 15-year-old missing girl from Karnal, Haryana, and arrested accused Sk Saida following a High Court habeas corpus petition and intensive SIT probe.

Guntur: The district police on Saturday arrested accused Sk Saida, who allegedly kidnapped a 15-old girl from Guntur city and shifted her to Karnal in Haryana. The accused and minor girl have been shifted to Guntur city.

Following Habeas Corpus petition filed by the minor girl’s parents, High Court directed the Director General of Police to produce the minor girl within 24-hours and issued orders to affect. Special Investigation Team led by SP K Supraja (Crime) went to Karnal and brought accused Saida and the minor girl to Guntur city.

According to Guntur SP Vakul Jindal, kidnapper Sk Jani Saida met the minor girl, who is studying 10th class, through Instagram and they had been in love for the past two years.

She informed Saida that her parents had objected her meeting him and she was kidnapped near her house on June 9 this year.

Her parents lodged a missing case at Pattabhipuram police station in Guntur city.

Kidnapper Sk Saida shifted her to Nellore, Madurai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad and from there to Karnal in Haryana.

When the missing girl’s parents lodged Habeas Corpus petition, High Court directed to produce the girl within 24 hours before the court.

Based on the closed camera footage and technical evidence, police traced her in Karnal in Haryana and arrested accused Sk Saida and brought both to Guntur city.

Based on the complaint lodged by the minor girl, police registered the case under POCSO Act and shifted the accused to Pattabhipuram police station.
