Guntur: The AP Police Department has launched two advanced technology-based services aimed at strengthening public safety and improving the efficiency of the department.
Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta along with Guntur district SP Vakul Jindal on Tuesday launched the AI-based Centralised Drone Monitoring Portal at the Guntur SP office and unveiled the ‘SafeStay’ application and its logo.
The SafeStay application enables police to access real-time information about people staying in PG accommodations and hotels across the state. The system is aimed at strengthening monitoring and enhancing the safety of people staying in hostels and hotels. The CDMP enables police officials to monitor live feeds from active drones across the state through a single centralised dashboard.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta said the police department was extensively using technology to make policing more efficient and people-centric. He said technology was being given top priority in crime prevention, case detection and investigation.
