‘Chaddi gang’ strikes again; decamps with gold and cash
Hyderabad: Clad in undergarments, three persons, supposed to be members of the `Chaddi gang’, gained entry into two different flats and committed theft of cash and gold ornaments by breaking open almirah. The incident took place at Gulmohar Apartments located in Kuntloor in Hayath Nagar police limits.
The entire episode was recorded by CCTV cameras installed at the gated community of residential apartments. The owners had locked their residences and went on a tour. When the residents returned, they noticed that the flats’ main door was broken open and cash and gold ornaments kept in almirah were missing.
The victims informed the association of the gated community by inquiring with the security men at the residential unit. Upon inquiry, the residents verified CCTV footage in which three member teams wearing undergarments entered into the gated community and indulged in committing theft. However, no one noticed the incident.
The Hayathnagar police said that the Chaddi gang members attempted thefts in three flats and they made a vain attempt at a residence after the lockers could not break open. Following the complaint, police have registered cases.
Similarly, a few days ago, the Chaddi gang members entered into an apartment building in Manikonda and made vain attempts to steal when the gang members were unable to break open the main doors.
