Hastinapuram: Local corporator Ramavath Padma took out a padayatra in North Extension Colony and Central Colony on Wednesday. She sensitised residents on viral fevers and explained the measures to be taken to prevent breeding of mosquitoes.
She directed entomology staff to take steps to ensure mosquitoes are killed at larva stage. She said fogging only helps in preventing mosquitoes temporarily, but causes environment pollution. She directed them to spray medicine at every house.
