Hyderabad: Ina continued investigation into an alleged interstate drug supply network, the EAGLE Force raided suspected drug manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and arrested a man accused of supplying precursor chemicals for illegal drug production linked to Telangana.

EAGLE Force officials said on Monday that they had identified a suspected drug manufacturing facility at a poultry farm in Maregaon village, Tiroda taluk, Gondia district, Maharashtra. Chemical-processing equipment and remnants of chemicals were reportedly found at the premises.

The officials informed Tiroda police, who registered a separate case. The discovery has strengthened the investigation into the suspected operation of illegal drug manufacturing units and the movement of precursor chemicals across state borders.

The EAGLE Force arrested Jairaj Krishna Shetty, the alleged owner of JSV Globals in Vasai, Maharashtra. Investigators suspect that he supplied propionyl chloride, a precursor chemical, to Chetan Madhukar Meshram and his associates for use in the alleged illegal drug manufacturing network.

Shetty was subsequently brought to Telangana as the investigation into the suspected interstate drug supply network continued.
