The price of groundnut has been increased by Rs. 83 per quintal, barley by Rs. 136, and wheat by Rs. The minimum support prices have been increased by 25 per cent.

Comparing the Congress-led UPA and the BJP-led NDA under PM Modi, he said, “During the ten years of the UPA, the purchase of these 6 Rabi crops was only 2,302 lakh metric tons, but under the Modi government, it increased to 3,921 lakh metric tons.”

He also said that during the previous Congress regime, the total support price paid to farmers for the 6 Rabi crops was only Rs. 2.65 lakh crore, but under the Modi government, it reached a record high of Rs. 8.36 lakh crore (Rs. 8,36,000 crore).
