Indira Shakti Bhavans will boost women’s empowerment: CM Revanth Reddy
In Short
Mahila Shakti Bhavans ready

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said new platforms for women’s empowerment were taking shape across Telangana with the establishment of Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans in districts across the state.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the buildings, constructed across the districts and ready for inauguration, would serve as centres for women’s self-respect, economic independence and entrepreneurship.
Revanth Reddy said the initiative was aimed at transforming women members of self-help groups into successful entrepreneurs by providing access to a range of opportunities under one roof. These include skill development and training, employment opportunities, product manufacturing and marketing, including access to global markets.
“When a woman is given an opportunity, a family’s future changes,” the Chief Minister said, emphasising that expanding economic opportunities for women would contribute to Telangana’s overall development.
He said the initiative was being implemented with the vision of “Women’s Advancement – Telangana’s Progress” and the goal of enabling 10 million women to become crorepatis.
The Chief Minister said the people’s government was giving a major thrust to women’s economic empowerment through the Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans and was working to accelerate the State’s development by creating sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities for women.
The proposed centres are expected to provide a common platform where women’s self-help groups can access training, production facilities and market linkages, thereby helping them expand their enterprises and improve their incomes.
