JNTUH stresses effective implementation of NSS activities
Hyderabad: The University-level meeting for National Service Scheme Program Officers was conducted under the aegis of the NSS Cell at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on Friday. Chief guest G Narsimha Goud, Statistical Officer, Deputy Disbursing Officer, and Deputy State Liaison Officer for the Telangana State NSS Cell, alongside JNTUH NSS Programme Coordinator Dr S Shobha Rani, addressed the assembled program officers. They guided participants on conducting various NSS activities, formulating operational plans, and implementing initiatives effectively.
Speakers provided detailed instructions regarding fund withdrawal, utilization procedures, timely submission of utilization certificates, and activity reports. Discussions also addressed technical issues encountered on the Public Financial Management System dashboard during fund withdrawals, precautionary measures to resolve them, and the necessity of maintaining transparency in financial management. Emphasizing digital reporting, officials instructed that details, photographs, and videos for every event must be uploaded to the Mera Yuva Bharat portal, making every program officer responsible for proper documentation.
Narsimha Goud directed officers to execute NSS activities efficiently, transparently, and systematically. Over 50 program officers participated, sharing their perspectives and field challenges. Dr S Shobha Rani noted that such meetings enhance activity quality while fostering service spirit, social responsibility, and leadership qualities among students.
