Hyderabad: Mirchowk police have recovered 25 lost and stolen mobile phones from various locations using the Central Equipment Identity Register portal alongside technical investigation methods.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police handed over the traced devices to their rightful owners at Mirchowk Police Station on Thursday. According to authorities, the handsets belonged to different complainants who had lost them under diverse circumstances before lodging official reports. Through continuous follow-up and technical monitoring via the CEIR portal, the police detective team led by Detective Sub-Inspector Md Mujtaba Ali Quasim successfully located the missing electronics.
Law enforcement officials advised citizens to report lost or stolen mobile phones immediately at the nearest police station or directly through the online CEIR platform. Authorities emphasized that prompt registration on the system greatly assists officers in tracking and restoring lost property to public owners efficiently.
