New Delhi: The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved a record 107 resolution plans during the second quarter of FY 2026-27, marking its highest quarterly performance since inception. The plans involved an aggregate approved value of more than `11,000 crore.

The figure is a sharp rise from 60 plans approved in Q2 of FY 2025-26 and 57 in the corresponding quarter of FY 2024-25. With 78 plans cleared in the first quarter, the NCLT has approved 185 resolution plans during the first half of the current financial year, taking the cumulative total to 1,735 as of September 30.

The number of plans awaiting approval also declined. Against 363 applications pending in April, 294 were awaiting approval as of September 30, while orders had been reserved in 41 cases.

The NCLT said improved case-flow management, streamlined Registry processes and better utilisation of judicial resources contributed to the performance.
