Overflowing drainage irks locals no end
The residents of ECIL have been facing an enormous problem due to overflowing of drainage on the road.
ECIL: The residents of ECIL have been facing an enormous problem due to overflowing of drainage on the road. The overflowing is causing serious health concerns to the residents of the area. Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, Raja, the owner of a shop, said "There is a disgusting foul smell emitting from this drainage. This has caused a lot of inconvenience to us."
Sumitra R, a resident of the area, said, "It has been almost four days that the drainage water has been overflowing and left as it is. We have been complaining to the authority concerned but no action has been taken yet. It is causing a lot of inconvenience to us." Kishan, a Pani Puri seller of the area, said, "This overflowing of drainage causes a lot of problems when people come here to have Pani Puri in the evening. There are many mosquitos in the evening which causes inconvenience to me as well as the customers."
