Prof Jayashankar's birth anniversary fete at Bus Bhavan

RTC X Roads: Telangana ideologue Professor Jayashankar’s birth anniversary was grandly celebrated at Bus Bhavan on Tuesday. TSRTC Executive Director (Revenue & IT) and Secretary to Corporation A Purushotham garlanded the portrait of Prof Jayashankar and paid rich tributes. The Executive Director recalled Professor’s immense services to the cause of formation of Telangana State. He praised the main role played by Prof Jayashankar who fought for Telangana throughout his life. He said Prof Jayashankar always said that unless Telangana was granted Statehood, lives of the people in the state would never improve. He reminisced an incident wherein Prof Jayanshankar when he was in Class 6 defied the rule and sang Vandemataram when it was mandatory at that time in all schools to sing in praise of the Nizam. C Vinod Kumar, Executive Director (O), Yadagiri, ED (GHZ), V Venkateswarlu, CPM, T Surya Kiran, SPRM, G R Kiran and other senior officers, union leader E A Reddy, General Secretary (TMU), supervisors and staff attended the programme in large numbers.
