Hyderabad: TheTelangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) will organise REACH 2026 on Saturday at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) to strengthen the State’s higher education, research and innovation ecosystem. Announcing the programme on Thursday, TGCHE Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy said the Research, Education and Advancement Conclave would bring together leaders from universities, research organisations, industry and government departments to promote collaboration. He said REACH 2026 would provide a recurring platform for institutions to showcase their academic and research strengths while identifying partnerships in industry linkages, collaborative research, talent development, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. The conclave will feature three thematic discussions: ‘Transforming Higher Education for Global Competitiveness and Telangana Rising @2047’, focusing on academic quality and global benchmarking; ‘Advancing Research Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation for Viksit Bharat’, focusing on university-research institute partnerships; and ‘From Research to Enterprise: Building an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem’, focusing on start-ups, incubation and corporate partnerships.
Prof Reddy said REACH would be a sustained networking mechanism rather than a one-time event. Its outcomes will be compiled into a Consolidated REACH Strategic Report to guide policy planning, joint projects and periodic reviews.
