Results of RTC unions’ polls manipulated, allege EU leaders
Hyderabad: Leaders of the Employees’ Union (EU) have launched a protest alleging that the results of the RTC recognised union elections were manipulated.
The EU alliance leaders said they would not accept the results announced by the officials and demanded clarity on the process followed in declaring the outcome.
They alleged that the rules governing local recognition status in Warangal, Nalgonda, Sangareddy and Secunderabad had been altered to favour a government-affiliated organisation.
Earlier, officials had failed to clarify when the results of the RTC recognised union elections would be released. Following the announcement, RTC workers intercepted the vehicle of the Joint Commissioner of Labour and later arrived at the Labour Commissioner’s office to stage a protest.
The EU alliance leaders said they would announce their future course of action on Sunday.
