Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy posted on Saturday that revenue generated by the Stamps and Registration Department increased by 21.75 per cent during the April–September period of the 2026–27 financial year compared to the corresponding period last year. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Minister said the growth in registration numbers and revenue reflected the performance of the state government under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
He asserted that the figures contradicted the allegations and criticism levelled by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for political gain.
According to the Minister, registrations of both agricultural and non-agricultural properties recorded a significant increase during the first six months of the current financial year, indicating continued activity in the state's property market.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the government was working to uncover alleged land irregularities that took place during the 10-year tenure of the BRS. The government was committed to providing dispute-free land ownership and finding permanent solutions to long-pending land-related issues, he added. The Minister maintained that the increase in registration revenue and property transactions demonstrated positive results from the government's initiatives to address land disputes and improve public confidence in property registration.
The Minister reiterated that the government would continue its efforts to ensure greater transparency in land administration and provide relief to people facing unresolved land-related problems.
