Table SC Categorisation Bill in Parliament: Manda Krishna Madiga
President of MRPS Manda Krishna Madiga demanded that the BJP government at the Centre introduce the Scheduled Castes Categorisation Bill in the current session of Parliament.
Secunderabad: President of MRPS Manda Krishna Madiga demanded that the BJP government at the Centre introduce the Scheduled Castes Categorisation Bill in the current session of Parliament. He was speaking at the press conference held at the MRPS main office at Parsi Gutta here on Thursday.
Manda Krishna said that Union Minster of state for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy extended his support for SC categorisation and hoped that the BJP would address the issue at the earliest. He said that they would pressurise the central government to address the issue earnestly and convene a meeting with leaders of various political parties to enlist their support for the issue.
Explaining his action plan of MRPS and allied associations, he said MRPS national committee meeting would be held at Medaram on July 27 and 28. MSF students association would hold a national conference in Andhra University on August 1. A youth meeting will be held in Khammam on August 3. They would also hold women's meeting in Hyderabad on August 2, employees' meeting in Amaravati on August 4, and lawyers and journalists meeting here on August 4.
Krishna Madiga demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao lead an all-party delegation to New Delhi to resolve the SC categorisation issue. He hoped that YSRC party would also pressurise the central government on the issue. He said that they would extend their support to YSRC party on special category status if the party supported the categorisation issue.
