Bandi Sanjay Questions Congress Leaders’ Visit to KCR’s Farmhouse

Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar questioned the Congress leaders’ visit to former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse, asking whether they had the authority to enter private property. He said the government should take possession of any government land found on the premises and make the details public.

Sanjay was speaking to the media on Sunday after distributing tricycles and fogging machines to sanitation workers at the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation office. Mayor Kolagani Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao and local corporators attended the programme.

He demanded that the government produce documentary evidence if it alleged land irregularities involving the KCR family and BRS leaders. He also questioned the need for political visits to the farmhouse when Congress was in power.

Addressing the issue of Section 22-A properties, Sanjay said the provision had caused difficulties for the public and alleged that successive BRS and Congress governments had misused it. He said further action, including legal proceedings, would be considered if the problem was not resolved.

Sanjay said one tricycle would be provided to sanitation workers in each municipal division for garbage collection. Additional tractors and fogging machines were also being arranged.

He said biomining works worth Rs 17 crore would soon be taken up to address the dumping yard issue. Solid waste management works using Rs 80 crore in UCF funds and fresh waste management works worth Rs 16 crore were also planned.

Sanjay said increased funds had been allocated for Ganesh immersion celebrations in Karimnagar this year. Welcoming the participation of women in the festivities, he urged people to maintain peace, avoid rumours and cooperate with the police.

He advised residents facing difficulties with officials to approach the Mayor, Deputy Mayor or corporators for assistance.

Sanjay alleged that the Congress approached the Supreme Court over the disqualification case because it was unwilling to face the Khairatabad by-election. He said the contest would be between the BJP and BRS.

Referring to Danam Nagender’s comparison of himself with the Khairatabad Ganesh idol, Sanjay made remarks about the traditional immersion ceremony and said the Congress would face a political setback if the by-election was held.
