Chalmeda seeks answers on poll promises, pending projects

Rajanna Sircilla: BRS Vemulawada constituency in-charge Chalmeda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao on Saturday urged the Congress government to fulfil its poll promises and provide clear timelines on pending public issues instead of focusing on political allegations.

Addressing a media conference at his residence in Vemulawada, Chalmeda sought a deadline for payment of the promised Rs 5.04 lakh compensation to 45 families displaced by the Mid-Manair project in Sankapalli.

On the reported 8,000-acre land issue, he demanded that the government release village-wise and survey-number-wise details of the 2,400 acres it claims to have recovered, along with relevant government orders and revenue records.

Chalmeda also sought details of funds sanctioned and spent on the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple development works and a deadline for their completion and resumption of full-fledged darshan.

He urged acquisition of 22 acres for the Gudicheruvu ring bund, faster completion of pending irrigation and canal works, and steps to ensure Mid-Manair water reaches Malkapet reservoir.

He also sought updates on employment assurances, cottage industries and the proposed Aqua Hub in Vemulawada.
