Man Jumps from LMD Police Station Building
Karimnagar: Tension prevailed at the LMD police station on Sunday evening after a man accused in a motor and electrical wire theft case jumped from the station building, prompting his family members to stage a protest.
Ajay, a resident of Ramakrishna Colony in Thimmapur mandal, was among four men taken into custody in connection with the theft cases. Police had reportedly issued notices as part of the investigation.
After learning about the incident, Ajay’s parents and relatives rushed to the police station and expressed concern over his safety. Police officials, including Kothapalli CI Billa Koteshwar, Thimmapur Circle in-charge CI Srilatha and LMD SI Arjun, spoke with the family and assured them that Ajay had not suffered any injuries.
ACP Vijay Kumar said two of the accused had previous cases registered against them. He stated that Ajay jumped from the police station building out of fear while being questioned. Police immediately shifted him to a government hospital for a medical examination. According to the doctor’s report, Ajay had sustained no injuries and was in good health, the ACP told the media.
