BRS BC meeting turns chaotic in Peddapalli
Peddapalli: Tension prevailed at a BC meeting organised by the BRS at the district headquarters on Saturday, after differences between two groups of party workers reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation.
The meeting was held under the leadership of former MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy. Some BC leaders and workers reportedly objected to the alleged exclusion of constituency leaders, including Ganta Ramulu Yadav and Dasari Usha, from the programme.
The disagreement soon turned into a heated argument, with members of the two groups allegedly exchanging blows and throwing chairs. Police rushed to the venue after being alerted and brought the situation under control before dispersing the groups. Some BC leaders alleged that Manohar Reddy’s unilateral approach was affecting the party’s position in the constituency. They claimed that internal differences were alienating BC supporters and could further weaken the BRS. They also demanded greater unity and representation for BC leaders in party programmes.
