Komatireddy inaugurates bridge over Ukachettu Vagu

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy inaugurated a high-level bridge constructed over the Ukachettu Vagu in Madanapur mandal here on Sunday, alongside his colleague Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sports, Vakiti Srihari and Devarakadra MLA G Madhusudan Reddy.

Addressing a public meeting at the Madanapur market yard, Venkat Reddy stated that development works are underway in Devarakadra constituency, including a 100-bed hospital, a degree college, a road and bridges leading to the Kurumurthy temple.

Regarding the bridge which had been started by the previous administration but left unfinished, he stated that the government sanctioned Rs 6 crore for the pending works immediately after the MLA requested. He announced sanction of Rs 49 crore for the mandal office complexes in the Madanapur, Kaukuntla, and Musapet, following the MLA’s request. Approximately Rs 16.3 crore has been allocated for each mandal office complex.

He stated that facilities would provide an improved working environment for officials and staff, while also offering basic amenities for the public. Poverty eradication is possible only through education; therefore integrated schools are being constructed in every constituency at a cost of approximately

Rs 200 crore to provide quality education to students across the State.

The minister expressed happiness that the poor are realising their dream of owning a home by building ‘Indiramma’ houses. He stated that the government is taking steps to provide support in the sectors of education, welfare, and employment, alongside housing facilities for the poor.

Srihari criticised the previous government for delaying the bridge. Four lives had been lost in the past due to its absence. With completion of the bridge, the commuting difficulties faced by the public during the monsoon season have been resolved.

GMR stated that during the 1,000 days of government formation he secured approximately Rs 1,034 crore in funds for the constituency and initiated various development projects. Some works have already been completed, others are under construction.

He mentioned that when he requested funds for the Madanapur mandal office complex, the minister sanctioned approximately Rs 16 crore. He mentioned that funds had been sanctioned for development of the Atmakur-Wanaparthy road.

Additional Collector (revenue) Vinod Kumar, AR Additional SP Veera Reddy, RDO Subrahmanyam, Madanapuram sarpanch Sharada, public representatives, R & B officials and a large number of citizens attended.
