MEO Usman Basha locking the school
The functioning of Genius Global School in Devanakonda has come under scrutiny following allegations that the institution is operating without required permissions for the current academic year.
Around 120 students pursue their education at the school, where management allegedly continued admissions based on previous year’s approvals. Following formal complaints lodged by student leaders with the Joint Collector ten days ago, MEO Usman Basha inspected the institution.
After issuing notices that went unheeded, officials locked the school premises on Thursday evening.
MEO Usman Basha stated that the school will be sealed entirely if management fails to secure valid permissions within two days, adding that reports have been submitted to higher authorities.
While the management remains confident of obtaining approvals, the development has left parents deeply worried about potential disruptions to their children’s education.
Questions have also been raised over how admissions and fee collections were permitted without current credentials. Parents and local residents are now demanding urgent clarity from education authorities to ensure the academic interests of the 120 students are fully safeguarded.
