Nellore: Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said the state government was focused on creating employment and attracting industries to provide better career opportunities for unemployed youth.
Parthasarathy, along with Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana and Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, participated in development programmes worth Rs 53 crore in Atmakur constituency on Monday.
He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh were working to create 20 lakh jobs, with multinational companies showing interest in establishing units in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam and other urban centres. He said major irrigation projects, including Polavaram and Veligonda, were also being prioritised for regional development.
Narayana said temples would be constructed in all 163 TIDCO colonies, with the initiative launched in Atmakur. Reddy said the government had set a target of 5,000 temples, of which 2,000 had been completed. He inaugurated the Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple at Atmakur TIDCO colony, built at Rs 75 lakh.
