Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday donated blood
New Delhi: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday donated blood and pledged to donate her organs while launching an organ donation portal.
The Chief Minister joined the blood donation camp and launched the portal as part of the 'Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan' launched to celebrate PM Modi's birthday and 25 years devoted to public service.
Chief Minister Gupta pledged to donate 14 organs, including heart, liver, kidney, lungs and others.
The portal was launched as part of an agreement between State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) and the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) to promote organ donation.
In a messge on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said, "On the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, I donated blood today at the mega blood donation camp organised at Thyagaraj Stadium under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'."
"Inspired by Prime Minister Modiji's 25 years of public service, dedication, and nation-building, this campaign links service with resolve and resolve with public participation. Blood donation is not just a means to save lives; it is a powerful expression of our duty toward humanity and the nation," CM Gupta added.
"Heartfelt thanks to the Delhi team for turning this Seva Sankalp into a people's movement. On this occasion, Delhi BJP President and Minister of State Harsh Malhotra ji, Cabinet colleague Ashish Sood ji, Manjinder Singh Sirsa ji, Pankaj Kumar Singh ji, Ravindra Indraj ji, MLA from Laxmi Nagar and Chief Whip Abhay Verma ji, along with other MLAs, were present," she said on X.
On the occasion of PM Modi's birthday, the Chief Minister also launched a worker service centre, offering a resting place to gig workers in her Shalimar Bagh constituency.
In a message on X, Chief Minister Gupta said, "On the occasion of the birthday of the esteemed Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, the inauguration of the 'Namo Shramik Seva Kendra' and Gig Workers Rest Centre was held today in Shalimar Bagh under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'."
"The esteemed Prime Minister ji has always accorded the highest priority to the respect, safety, and welfare of the country's labourers. Inspired by his spirit of service, our endeavour is to ensure that every facility reaches Delhi's hardworking colleagues with dignity and ease," she added.
"At this centre, registration, renewal, document verification, information on schemes, and assistance related to claims will all be available at one place. Heartfelt wishes to all of you on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti. On this occasion, a large number of labourer brothers and sisters were present, including Cabinet colleague Kapil Mishra ji," the Chief Minister said.
