Nizamabad: Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana urged Ganesh Utsav organisers and youth to conduct the celebrations with devotion, discipline and peace.
Under the aegis of the Sri Dhanpal Lakshmibai Vitthal Gupta Charitable Trust, financial assistance was provided to Ganesh Utsav organisers at the trust office on Friday. A large number of organisers turned up to receive the assistance.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanpal called upon the youth of city to follow the path of devotion and conduct Ganesh Utsav celebrations peacefully in accordance with Hindu traditions, without giving scope for any untoward incidents. He said the trust would extend financial assistance to Ganesh mandals every year. Last year, assistance was provided to 725 Ganesh mandals, and the trust would continue its support this year as well. Dhanpal said Lord Ganesha is not merely associated with a festival but was a symbol of Indian culture, Sanatana Dharma and unity.
He said worshipping Lord Ganesha was believed to remove obstacles and bring prosperity.
