Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep shock and grief over the boiler explosion at the TIL Healthcare pharmaceutical unit in Sri City, Tirupati district, on Saturday morning. The accident claimed the lives of four workers, while another seriously injured worker is undergoing treatment.

The Chief Minister immediately sought details from officials about the incident, the condition of the injured, and the rescue operations underway at the factory.

Expressing profound condolences to the families of the deceased workers, the Chief Minister said the loss of lives in the industrial accident was deeply painful. He directed officials to stand by the bereaved families and provide them all necessary assistance without any delay.

CM instructed the district administration, police, and health departments to ensure that the injured worker receives the best possible medical treatment. He asked doctors and hospital authorities to take special care and provide advanced treatment, if required.

He also directed officials to complete rescue and relief operations on a war footing. He asked them to verify whether any more workers were trapped at the accident site and take immediate steps to shift them to safety.

He ordered a detailed inquiry into the cause of the boiler explosion. He said strict action should be taken if any negligence or violation of industrial safety norms is found. He stressed that safety measures in factories and industrial units must be reviewed to prevent recurrence of such tragic incidents.

Chief Minister assured that the State government would extend all possible support to the families of those killed and injured in the accident.
