Amaravati Regional Partnership Summit on Oct 16

Vijayawada: The Amaravati Regional Partnership Summit will be held in Vijayawada on October 16 as part of the State government’s preparations for the 31st CII Partnership Summit, scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13, NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha said on Tuesday. The collector, who is also the Member-Convenor of the Amaravati Regional Summit, reviewed the arrangements at a virtual meeting with Collectors and officials of eight districts. Collectors of Guntur, Palnadu, Markapuram, Prakasam, Eluru, Bapatla and Krishna districts participated in the meeting and briefed him on the preparations being made in their respective districts.

Dr Lakshmisha said regional summits would be organised in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Amaravati, Anantapur and Tirupati ahead of the main summit. The Amaravati summit would be conducted on a large scale through coordinated efforts of the Collectors and officials of the eight districts, he said.

He said the regional summits would help identify industrial potential in different regions, promote balanced development and expand investment opportunities. Modern technologies, Industry 4.0, deep-tech ventures and startups would also be encouraged. The collector urged entrepreneurs to participate actively in the Amaravati summit and make it a platform for securing investment commitments and MoUs.
