Vijayawada: The Andhra Kabaddi Association (AKA) has strongly condemned the alleged attacks, threats and humiliation of kabaddi players and sportspersons from other disciplines who were selected for teacher posts through DSC-2025 on the basis of merit and the prescribed selection process.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, AKA president K V Prabhavathi, general secretary Yalamanchili Srikanth, working president N Arjuna Rao and joint secretary K V Nancharaiah said the association’s official records showed that the kabaddi players appointed through DSC-2025 were genuine and accomplished sportspersons.
The office-bearers said no fake or fabricated sports certificates had been found among the kabaddi players whose records were issued and maintained by the association. They said teachers were entitled to dignity and respect and that abusive comments, threats or humiliation against them were unacceptable.
They urged the government to take appropriate action as per law against anyone found guilty of attacks, threats or other unlawful acts against teachers, particularly sportspersons appointed through DSC-2025.
