Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association installed four practice nets at the Andhra Cricket Association-Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (ACA-VDCA) Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
These practice nets were installed near the VIP car parking area of the stadium, comprising three turf wickets and one Astro turf wicket equipped with a telescopic net structure.
The practice nets were inaugurated by Visakhapatnam north constituency MLA and VDCA working president P Vishnu Kumar Raju, along with secretary of VDCA K Parthasarathy in the presence of DS Varma, SSRK Prasad, C P Reddy, Srinivasa Raju, Sanjeev, Gowri Shenkar, AP Naidu, and other office bearers and members.
According to VDCA officials, the practice nets will aid in grooming budding cricketers during the year-long coaching provided to them. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju stated that these facilities will immensely help enhance cricketing skills and provide valuable practice opportunities for players. Later, he took part in batting during the inauguration ceremony.
