CM to virtually launch 16 development projects in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will virtually launch and lay the foundation stones for 16 development projects from Kuppam on Tuesday, September 22. The programme will be carried out in a hybrid annuity model (HAM) from 10.30 am to 12.30 noon at V Convention Centre in Madhurawada.

Elaborate arrangements are being made in Visakhapatnam to facilitate public participation. Digital screens and LED displays are installed at designated locations to enable people to watch the programme and project-related videos.

On Monday, Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao reviewed the arrangements with officials of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) and Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) and enquired about the projects to be launched. He examined the facilities at the venue, including the venue, seating, parking, digital screens, drinking water and food arrangements.

Speaking on the occasion, GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg said the Chief Minister would virtually launch 16 projects, including 13 GVMC projects and three VMRDA projects. VMRDA Chairperson MV Pranav Gopal informed that the projects worth Rs 47.49 crore would be inaugurated and launched by the Chief Minister.

Among major VMRDA initiatives, development of 42 new parks across various constituencies at an estimated cost of Rs.35 crore, construction of a sports complex at Pedagantyada at Rs 9.09 crore and construction of an additional road on Kailasagiri at a cost of Rs 3.40 crore form part of them.
