The Commissioner stated that discrepancies in recording tender percentages were observed during the tendering process and bill processing for engineering works, involving the concerned engineers, drawing branch staff and contract agencies.
The orders noted that after the tenders were approved at the specified tender percentages and letters of acceptance (LOAs) were issued, the agencies accepted the relevant tender percentages without raising any objections when signing the agreements. Given the findings indicating the contract agencies’ involvement in irregularities, strict action was initiated against them. The Commissioner ordered that RSR Constructions (Class–II) and Gosthani Constructions (Class–III) be block-listed and barred from participating in GVMC tenders for two years. Commissioner Ketan Garg stated that violations of rules in executing engineering works and irregularities in the tendering process would be viewed seriously and appropriate action would be taken against those responsible according to applicable rules.
