Children taking part in the drawing and painting competition organsied by the South Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: Continuing its initiatives to foster creativity and talent among children of railway employees, the South Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCoRWWO) held an on-the-spot drawing and painting competition in the city. Organised under the leadership of SCoRWWO president Charu Mathur, the event saw participation from over 50 children.
Showcasing their artistic flair, imagination, and keen interest across various creative themes, the children of railway employees brought out their creative best. The initiative aimed to provide a supportive platform for young minds to express their perspectives visually and develop a spirit of healthy creative engagement.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries commended the young participants for their artwork, thought processes and enthusiastic involvement. As a token of encouragement and appreciation, gifts and health kit packets were distributed to all participating children.
The South Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation has been undertaking diverse cultural, educational and welfare programmes aimed at the holistic development, well-being and growth of railway employees and their families.
Anju Gupta, secretary, Madhusmitha Sahoo, joint secretary, L Swarnalatha, treasurer, Meenakshi Sinha, P. Raja Harathi and Nisha Sinha were present.
