Kavya and Srihari call for preserving traditions for future generations

Hanumakonda: Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya and Station Ghanpur MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari described Bathukamma as a symbol of Telangana’s cultural identity, women’s self-respect and reverence for nature. In a statement issued on Saturday, they extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Telangana, Warangal parliamentary constituency and Station Ghanpur constituency on the occasion of Engilipoola Bathukamma.
They said the festival, celebrated by women with colourful floral arrangements, traditional songs and dances, reflects the richness of Telangana’s age-old customs and traditions. Bathukamma also strengthens women’s unity, family bonds and community spirit, they noted.
The leaders emphasised the importance of preserving the festival’s legacy and passing it on to future generations. They said the nine-day celebrations, culminating in Saddula Bathukamma, bring joy and festive spirit to villages and towns across the state. Kavya and Srihari wished that Bathukamma would bring happiness, good health, prosperity and renewed hope to every household in Telangana.
