Mancherial: The Telangana government is implementing the CM Breakfast Scheme as part of its student welfare initiatives, State Minister for Labour, Employment Training, Factories, Mines and Geology Gaddam Vivekananda said.The scheme was launched at Telangana Model School in Mandamarri mandal on Thursday by District Additional Collector (Local Institutions) P. Chandraiah, Tehsildar Satish and MPDO Rajeshwar. The officials had breakfast with the students on the occasion.
Speaking at the programme, Vivekananda said the scheme aims to provide nutritious and quality food to students in government educational institutions, safeguard their health and encourage them to concentrate on their studies. He said providing quality education along with nutritious food would help lay a strong foundation for students’ future.
The Minister said the Mandamarri Model School’s selection as a Telangana Public School was a matter of pride. He urged students to pursue their goals with perseverance, concentration and discipline.
He said construction of the Young India Integrated Residential School at Somanpally, being developed at a cost of Rs 200 crore for 2,500 students, was progressing rapidly and would begin functioning next year.
School principals, officials, teachers and students attended the programme.
