Congress government betrayed students and youth: Errabelli Dayakar Rao

WARANGAL: Former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has accused the Congress government of completely failing to fulfil its election promises to youth and students. As part of the BRS’s four-day protest marking 1,000 days of the Congress government in power, Rao joined demonstrations with students and youth at mandal headquarters in the Narsampet constituency on Saturday.

At a dharna held at Narsampet chowrasta demanding resolution of student issues and implementation of pre-election assurances, Rao said the government has neglected job recruitment, student welfare and employment opportunities for youth despite completing 1,000 days in office.

Anger over demolition of statue pedestal

Dayakar Rao also visited Ashok Nagar in Khanapur mandal, where a pedestal erected for the unveiling of a Peddi Sudarshan Reddy statue was demolished. He condemned the act, saying the pedestal was brought down without any prior notice.

He described attempts to block the unveiling of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s statue as a “wicked act” and alleged a conspiracy by Congress leaders behind the incident. “No matter how many obstacles are created, we will ensure the Peddi Sudarshan Reddy statue is installed,” he said.

Questioning why permissions were granted for several statues in Narsampet town but hurdles were being created only for one individual’s statue, Dayakar Rao demanded an end to politically motivated vendetta and called on authorities to respect public sentiments.
