Empowering Dalit families economically
WARANGAL: Empowering Dalit families economically and enabling them to raise household incomes through self-employment is the core objective of the Congress government, Parakala MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy said. He urged beneficiaries to treat dairy buffalo rearing as a sustainable livelihood option that can provide regular income.
167 buffalo units handed over at Konayamakula
At the Raitu Vedika in Konayamakula, Geesugonda mandal, Reddy distributed sanction orders for dairy buffalo units to Dalit families from Geesugonda and Sangem mandals. A total of 167 sanction orders were handed over to the beneficiaries during the event.
Veterinary awareness session on animal care
Before the distribution, veterinary doctors conducted an awareness session on scientific buffalo rearing. They explained balanced nutrition for the animals, disease prevention measures, the importance of vaccination, and precautions to be taken during weather changes.
“Make best use of this opportunity,” urges MLA
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA asked beneficiaries to make the best use of the government’s support and improve their financial status. He said daily income from dairy activities would gradually strengthen household economies, describing the initiative not merely as a scheme but as a long-term source of financial security for families.
Focus on women’s welfare, self-employment
Under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the Congress government is giving top priority to women’s welfare and economic self-reliance, Reddy noted. He reiterated the government’s goal of making one crore women financially strong, often expressed locally as turning “one crore women into crore-pathis.”
Parakala Indira Mahila Dairy expansion plan
Through the Parakala Indira Mahila Dairy, the government plans to enrol over 40,000 families as members in the next two years and provide two dairy buffaloes to each family, he said. Promoting the dairy sector, he added, will enable women and Dalit families to gain self-employment and improve their economic conditions.
Call to become role models
Revuri Prakash Reddy expressed hope that beneficiaries would utilise government schemes effectively, achieve economic progress, and serve as role models for others.
