Farmers’ welfare is Congress government’s priority: MLA KR Nagaraju
Hanumakonda: Vardhannapet MLA and retired IPS officer KR Nagaraju said that the welfare of farmers remains a key priority of the Congress government. He was the chief guest at the PACS general meeting held in Hasanparthi, Hanumakonda district, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Nagaraju felicitated newly appointed PACS chairman Pingali Venkata Reddy and other new governing body members with shawls and congratulated them.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said the government was taking steps to provide farmers with quality seeds, fertilizers, irrigation water and facilities for crop procurement. He said measures were also being taken to support farmers amid changing weather conditions. Nagaraju urged farmers not to be misled by misinformation and appealed to the new PACS leadership to work for their welfare. He said PACS play a crucial role in providing timely agricultural loans and essential services and called upon the new members to regularly identify and address farmers’ problems.
