WARANGAL: The Vinayaka Trust Bhavan in Shivanagar, Warangal, conducted a grand Dhanalakshmi Puja on Friday as part of the Ganapati Navaratrulu celebrations. In a striking display of devotion, the Ganesha mandapam was specially decorated with currency-note bundles worth ₹1.93 crore, drawing large crowds of devotees.

For several years, the Vinayaka Trust Bhavan has been holding the Dhanalakshmi Puja during Ganapati Navaratrulu. Last year, the idol was adorned with currency notes worth ₹1.51 crore. This year, an additional ₹42 lakh in notes was added, taking the total decoration value to ₹1.93 crore. The arrangement of note bundles around the deity became a major attraction for visitors.

Puja Gets Bigger This Year

Along with the Dhanalakshmi Puja, the organisers conducted a Ganapati Homam, annadanam, bhajans and other cultural programmes. The spiritual fervour turned Shivanagar’s Vasavi Line into a bustling hub of activity.

Devotees queued up in large numbers to have darshan of the uniquely decorated Ganesha, offering prayers and taking part in the festivities. Families and groups of worshippers visited the Vinayaka Trust Bhavan throughout the day, making the occasion one of the highlights of this year’s Ganapati Navaratrulu in Warangal.
