Mahabubabad police recover 2,027 lost phones using CEIR
Warangal: District police have recovered 2,027 lost and stolen mobile phones so far by effectively using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, Superintendent of Police Dr Sharish, IPS, said. As part of the latest recovery drive, the SP handed over 77 recovered phones to their owners at the conference hall of Mahabubabad Town Police Station on Tuesday. The beneficiaries thanked the police for their efforts.
Dr Sharish said police were analysing technical data available through CEIR to trace missing phones being used in different locations. He advised people to immediately report lost or stolen phones at the nearest police station, providing their mobile number and IMEI details.
The SP appreciated the efforts of the DSP, CCS Inspector Hateeram, IT Cell SI G.V. Krishna Reddy, PC Suman, SHOs and CEIR operators in the recovery drive.
