‘Planned road development in Warangal after drainage works’
Hanumakonda: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy said the underground drainage system being developed in Warangal would help ensure planned and long-term infrastructure development in the city. He said new road works would be taken up extensively after the drainage project was completed, avoiding repeated digging of newly laid roads.
The MLA was speaking after laying the foundation stone for internal roads and side drainage works at Excise Colony in the 59th Division on Saturday. The works are estimated to cost Rs.1.05 crore.
He said the comprehensive underground drainage project was being taken up with the initiative of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and that the tender process was in its final stage. New pipelines would replace old ones based on future requirements, he said.
Mr. Rajender Reddy urged officials to identify pending road works and asked residents to cooperate until the drainage works were completed.
