Warangal Super Speciality Hospital to Begin OP Services from Dasara
WARANGAL: Outpatient (OP) services at the upcoming Super Speciality Hospital in Warangal will commence from Dasara, State Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has announced. He said construction work, which had remained incomplete under the previous government, has been expedited and is now in the final stage.
The Minister said the government aims to provide quality healthcare to the people of north Telangana. Despite financial constraints, priority is being given to the health and education sectors, he added.
Officials Review Progress
Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Dhanasari Sitakka, Rajya Sabha member Vem Narendar Reddy, Mahabubabad MP Porika Balaram Naik, MLAs Naini Rajender Reddy, KR Nagaraju and Revuri Prakash Reddy, MLC Basavaraju Saraiah, KUDA chairperson Gundu Sudharani, Warangal Collector Dr Satya Sharada and Hanumakonda Collector Chahat Bajpai inspected the hospital construction site on Thursday.
They reviewed the progress of the works along with officials and sought details on the present status, pending works and measures required to begin hospital services.
NIMS-Level Care Planned
Minister Ponguleti said the hospital is expected to attract a large number of patients once operational. He said steps would be taken to provide medical services on par with those available at NIMS in Hyderabad.
Once fully operational, the hospital will enable people from Warangal and several districts of north Telangana to access advanced medical treatment locally, reducing the need to travel to Hyderabad, he said.
Surekha’s Absence Discussed
While ministers, public representatives and senior officials attended the inspection, the absence of local MLA Konda Surekha became a topic of discussion. The reasons for her absence were not officially disclosed.
